He is wrong again. The Detonation sensor does not tell you everything, he is a moron. Let me explain 2 things to you and tell me if you already knew them. The detonation sensor being bad, or the wiring to be bad, causes the car to go into safety boost. Use the search tool to find out about safety boost and how to check your own ECU for error codes. Its easy, just do it yourself and save the money with those smoking idiot grease monkeys. Just bypass the 2 wires at the ECU with a resistor as described in search. This will temporarily clear the ECU codes. I suggest you have the car at stock boost, and see if safety boost remains. If it does, then it is quite possible your temp sensor is jacked. I tell you to bypass the det sensor at the ECU, because it will allow you to take both the sensor and wiring out of the loop, both of which easily go bad and are a bitch to fix. So for now, put that resistor there. Once you have cleared your erorr codes, your car will boost past 7psi. I do NOT RECOMMEND that you race people, or even boost high, because if your injectors have a problem (hence your idle) then you will lean the motor out and kaboom. At the point you should be at now. Clearing all your error codes, you can figure out the rest and then have any mechanic do the work you specifically ask for. For normal driving leave the det sensor resistor out, and run in safety boost, slow as hell. Also, you may not be able to race faster than a civic not because a turbo is blown, maybe an injector isnt firing. Again, check your error codes and post in the technical forum. Eric L.
